After officially closing its $2.1 billion purchase of rival UK set-top maker Pace, Arris announced the executive structure for the combined company.
Arris Chairman and CEO Bob Stanzione will remain at the top of the pyramid, overseeing an Arris board of directors that will remain unchanged. Dave Potts will remain executive VP and CFO, with Larry Margolis leading the integration of the two companies as executive VP of corporate strategy and administration.
Larry Robinson will continue to run the company's CPE business unit as president, while Bruce McClelland will do the same with the networking and cloud unit.
Ron Coppock will lead a new, dedicated international sales organization and oversee marketing as president of international sales and global marketing.
Pace's Tim O'Loughlin will serve as president of North American sales; Jim Brennan will continue on as senior VP of supply chain and quality. Patrick Macken will remain senior VP, general counsel and secretary, and Vicki Brewster will stay on as senior VP of human resources. Pace's Phil Baldock will serve as Arris' new senior VP and CIO.
In its announcement Monday, Arris said it expects other members of Pace's management team to take leadership positions.
"Today, we have the industry's leading talent under one roof," Stanzione said in a statement. "And in the coming months, we'll begin to leverage the full potential of our combined expertise -- broadening our global footprint, tapping into new markets, catalyzing innovation, and transforming entertainment and communications for millions of people around the world."
Arris will retain its Suwanee, Ga., headquarters as it operates the global company, which will be 76 percent controlled by Arris shareholders.
Merging the world's two largest set-top makers, Arris' $2.1 billion acquisition of Pace offers insulation from a volatile U.S. pay-TV market, as well as the unpredictable revenue streams of the disparate CPE product cycles, analysts say.
