Cable Show to feature interactive showcase

A 27,000-square-foot exhibit built to resemble a movie studio lot will be the centerpiece of an interactive showcase designed to show cable's impact on the way consumers live, work and play during The Cable Show, May 11-13 in Los Angeles.

Called "My World - Powered by Cable," the exhibit is being produced by NCTA with help from local cable operator Time Warner Cable, cable programming networks, technology vendors and other "select partners," the NCTA said in a news release. It will showcase cable's triple play of voice, video and high-speed data offerings to consumers and how the industry merges content and delivery.

Still in the works is a mobile application that will let attendees use interactive maps on their smartphones to navigate the exhibit's venues and learn more about the various products and services My World features.
