Dish Network (Nasdaq: DISH) claims it has upped the ante in the TV Everywhere space via a combo of its Dish Remote Access application and a Sling-enabled receiver.
The Dish TV Everywhere play does come with some conditions. Consumers need a Sling-enabled device such as the Sling Adapter to pair with a Dish Network HD DVR to provide the everywhere connectivity. Still, if they're really interested the adapter is available for an extra $99 for new and current Dish customers, and the remote access application is free.
"Unlike mobile viewing from cable and telcos that limit access to select programs, our TV Everywhere services give consumers 24x7 access to all of the live and recorded content included with their Dish Network programming subscription," Chief Marketing Officer Ira Bahr said in a news release.
