Frontier taps Mediamorph for media-rights management

Media rights management software maker Mediamorph said that it has struck a licensing deal with Frontier Communications.

Frontier, which delivers video services in 29 states, will use Mediamorph’s platform for content orchestration and payment coordination.

Mediamorph’s cloud-based enterprise software and data services are aimed at helping customers better understand content distribution strategies and maximize revenues. The New York-based vendor makes tools for deal management, content planning and merchandising, financial automation, supply chain orchestration, analytics and content performance tracking.

“Frontier has significantly grown its customer footprint and increased its TV content offerings. We view Mediamorph’s solution as a way to integrate contract details, content information, and financial processing.” said Steve Ward, Frontier’s senior VP of video technology and content, in a statement.

Among a broad list of well-known content suppliers, Mediamorph also has deals with U.S. pay-TV operators including Altice USA, CenturyLink, Dish Network, Mediacom and Verizon. Frontier ended the third quarter of 2016 with just over 1.5 million video customers.

“As Frontier continues to create new consumer experiences, Mediamorph’s platform will enable it to leverage licensed content and automate key financial use cases to improve revenue and operational productivity,” said Rob Gardos, CEO of Mediamorph, in a statement.
