It seems that things are just done different elsewhere in the world than they are in the U.S. While Americans fret about alligators running loose in their sewers, a technology company is planning to install a fiber optic system in Derry, Ireland's sewer system. Obviously, the network is meant for above-ground users.
In South Korea, meanwhile, KT Corp plans to offer WiFi services in "a number of subway trains in Seoul" starting in November "with a view to catering to increasing demand for data. In this instance, the below-ground crowd is expected to benefit.
