Nearly a year after closing on Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks, Charter Communications has upgraded its multiscreen app to service its combined footprint.
The newly upgraded Spectrum TV app allows customers to access up to 300 live channels and 25,000 on-demand programs via iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, Roku, Xbox One, Samsung Smart TV and the internet itself.

“It combines the best features and functions on a single app, giving customers greater flexibility and more content on a growing number of devices,” said Rich DiGeronimo, Charter’s EVP of product and strategy, in a statement.

Speaking during Charter’s fourth-quarter earnings call last month, Chairman and CEO Tom Rutledge said the MSO was about 75% with the integration of former TWC and BHN customers under Charter’s “Spectrum” brand. The integration for residential customers is scheduled to be completed by the end of March.
The Spectrum TV app upgrade comes as legacy TWC customers have complained that their older multiscreen apps had stopped working.
