Suddenlink (finally) signs deal for Showtime Anytime platform

The arduous rollout of TV Everywhere marches on.

Several years after the debut of the premium cable channel's TV Everywhere platform, Suddenlink Communications has announced a deal to support Showtime Anytime.

The MSO's subscribers will now be able to stream series including Homeland, Shameless, Ray Donovan, Masters of Sex, House of Lies and more on devices including iPhones and iPads, Android phones and tablets, personal computers, Xbox consoles, Apple TV, Roku, Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV and other hardware.

Suddenlink says that with the addition of Showtime Anytime, its customers now have authenticated access to more than 400 networks on the MSO's Suddenlink2Go TV Everywhere platform.

Of course, Indianapolis-based Suddenlink is a bit late to Showtime Anytime party--Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA), DirecTV (NASDAQ: DTV), Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC), Verizon FiOS (NYSE: VZ), Charter Communications (NASDAQ: CHTR), AT&T U-Verse (NYSE: T) and Bright House Networks are among the larger pay-TV services that already carry the multiscreen app.
