FloSports and The Athletic announced a first-of-its-kind partnership to coproduce a live NHL Draft Show in conjunction with The Athletic Hockey Show, bringing fans a fresh perspective, deep content library, and unmatched prospect expertise during one of hockey’s biggest nights. The special free broadcast, hosted by The Athletic and FloHockey experts, will stream across FloHockey and The Athletic channels, offering hockey fans an alternative viewing experience alongside official NHL Draft broadcasts. “The Athletic Hockey Show x FloHockey NHL Draft Live,” will stream live on Friday, June 26 from 7-11 p.m. ET and Saturday, June 27 from 5-6:30 p.m. ET.

FloHockey’s Chris Peters is one of the sport’s leading NHL Draft analysts and prospect experts, who has built a reputation over more than a decade covering hockey for ESPN, CBS Sports and the Daily Faceoff. He hosts his own podcast “Called Up” on FloHockey and is a weekly contributor on The Athletic Hockey Show Prospect Series. He will join hosts from The Athletic Hockey Show to break down selections in real time, provide scouting insight, evaluate organizational draft strategies and spotlight the next generation of NHL talent.

Corey Pronman is one of hockey’s premier prospects experts. He is the senior NHL prospects writer for The Athletic and host of The Athletic Hockey Show Prospects Series. He has more than a decade of experience and previously worked in a similar role at ESPN. Scott Wheeler covers the NHL draft and prospects nationally for The Athletic and is a host of The Athletic Hockey Show Prospect Series. Max Bultman is The Athletic’s Detroit Red Wings writer and host of The Athletic Hockey Show Prospect Series.

The collaboration brings together two of hockey's most trusted voices. The Athletic has established itself as a premier destination for hockey journalism and analysis, while FloHockey has become a leading resource for prospect coverage, player development, junior hockey, NCAA hockey and the pathways that shape future NHL stars. The show will mine FloHockey’s vast content library featuring many of the prospects whose names will be called on Draft Day.

“Fans today are looking for more than just pick announcements, they want context, expertise and a deeper understanding of the players who will shape the future of the NHL,” said Josh Siskin, GM of FloHockey. “We’ve been following these players throughout their careers and can offer fresh insights that can’t be matched anywhere else.”

The live NHL Draft Show further reinforces FloHockey’s position as the most comprehensive destination for hockey coverage beyond the NHL level. From the AHL, CHL and NCAA to international competition and NHL prospect pipelines, 74% of future NHL stars come through the hockey leagues seen exclusively on FloHockey.

The special NHL Draft broadcast will stream live wherever hockey fans can be found on the FloHockey website, FloSports app, the FloHockey 24/7 channel on Prime Video, Fubo, YouTube, Bell Fibe (Canada), the Roku Channel (Canada) and The Athletic’s YouTube channel.

FloHockey streams more than 22,000 games annually from the AHL, ECHL, OHL, QMJHL, USHL, SPHL, Swedish Hockey League and top college and junior leagues. Last season, it reached more than 7 million total viewers and over 21 million video views on social media.

FloHockey is available via web, mobile apps (iOS and Android) and Smart TV platforms including Roku, Samsung, Fire TV, Google TV, Apple TV, LG and VIZIO. The FloHockey 24/7 FAST Channel is also available on Amazon Prime Video, Fubo, The Roku Channel and YouTube.
