Two weeks after launching its live TV product—which is still in beta—Hulu is updating its platform with several new features.
The app now shows viewing progress via a new “all caught up” message that appears by shows. The app will also alert viewers if there is a new episode to watch.
With the increase in new content available on Hulu now that the live TV service is running, the app will now add a green marker next to shows to alert viewers that new content is available.
Hulu is also now allowing users to disable continuous play. That feature is available now for iOS, Apple TV and Xbox One, and it’s coming soon for Android users.
Hulu said it’s also moved the Chromecast button higher so it’s easier to find, and addressed several bug and crash fixes.

Hulu earlier this month launched live TV and announced the addition of networks including Food Network, HGTV and Travel Channel.
The service is priced at $39.99 per month and includes access to all content that comes with a traditional $8/month Hulu subscription. Customers can upgrade to the commercial-free on-demand tier for an additional $4/month.
The service includes 50 hours of recording storage, up to six individual profiles and two simultaneous streams per account. Users can select add-on upgrades like $14.99/month for 200 hours of DVR storage, $14.99/month for unlimited streams, or $19.99 for both add-ons.
In addition, Hulu is offering Showtime for another $8.99/month.
Hulu’s live TV service currently works with Apple TV (4th Gen.), Xbox One, iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as Chromecast. Hulu is promising soon to add support for Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Amazon Fire TV Sticks and Samsung smart TVs.
