Free ad-supported streaming service Tubi will now be available to stream over the internet directly on Comcast’s Xfinity X1 platform.
The companies said rollout will begin Thursday, and the service will be available to all Comcast X1 users in coming days.
“At Tubi, we are dedicated to making entertainment accessible to everyone, which is why we continue making strategic deals that significantly expand our distribution network,” said Tubi founder and CEO Farhad Massoudi in a statement. “This partnership with Comcast enables us to reach millions of TV and movie fans looking to easily access thousands of premium titles directly on the TV. We think X1 customers are going to truly enjoy this new service.”
Tubi’s content library will be accessible through the X1 Voice Remote or in the X1 apps section. Soon, X1 customers will be able to browse and search the entire Tubi programming library within Xfinity On Demand.
For Tubi, the Comcast agreement comes during a year in which it has already launched a Content Personalization Engine, expanded partnerships with studios, networks and media companies; and increased view time by 1800% since 2016.

Earlier this year, Tubi also launched Tubi Channels, similar to Amazon Channels for subscription services but featuring AVOD services.
“Tubi Channels are essentially Amazon Channels for free video on demand, offering instant distribution across all OTT devices and the growing distribution network of the Tubi app,” Massoudi said.
For Comcast, the Tubi integration marks another step for the pay TV provider as it continues adding streaming services to its X1 platform. X1 has already integrated Netflix and is currently working on integrating Amazon Prime Video.
